Welcome to the Wickenburg Municipal Airport. The Municipal Airport / Wellik Field is owned and operated by the Town of Wickenburg. Steve Boyle, Community Development Director, is the Airport Director. Normal office hours are Tuesday though Saturday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aircraft repair, maintenance, and painting is available through companies at the airport. The airport has a self-service fuel station and we also offer full fuel service for jet customers.
Wickenburg is known for its clear, clean air so come and fly our Wickenburg skies!
Runway 05-23 is 6100 feet in length. The runway is fully capable of handling both small and large aircraft such as the Gulfstream IV. The Airport is an integral element in the local economy.
The Chamber of Commerce hosts an annual “FLY IN” and pancake breakfast in early October, but fly “Out Wickenburg Way” anytime to enjoy the scenery, history, and shopping in this unique high desert community.
Wickenburg Municipal Airport has an airport advisory commission composed of 7 members. At least 5 of the citizens must be residents of the town and all members must live within 10 miles of the town limits. The council representative serves a 2 year term, while citizen members serve staggered 3 year terms. The commission acts in an advisory role to the Town Council, making recommendations on the use, operation, and development of the airport.
A courtesy car is generally available for trips into town where a number of fine restaurants and unique shops are located. Rental cars can be arranged.
