September 26, 2018, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Pedestrian Bridge
Wickenburg is home to a unique migration point for Bats and Buzzards as they make their way to Mexico for the winter. Join the Town of Wickenburg, Maricopa County Parks and Recreation and Arizona Game and Fish for a watch party on the Pedestrian Bridge Wednesday, September 26th to see hundreds of bats and buzzards fly. There will be watch stations and other vendor tables set-up along the bridge including informational booths. Representatives from Arizona Game and Fish and Maricopa County Parks and Recreation will be on hand to answer questions and provide resources about the animals and their migratory patterns. Beginning at 5:30 pm, the event allows watchers enough time to get set up with optics to view the bats and birds take flight in the evening dusk. Please note there is no designated parking for the event.
