SIXTH ANNUAL WICKENBURG LEADERSHIP ACADEMY 2010 - September 7-October 26

The Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce and its’ partners are offering residents the opportunity to apply for the sixth class of the Wickenburg Leadership Academy. The class will begin on Tuesday, September 7, and continue through Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Classes will be held weekly from 6-9:00pm. The cost is $25 per person.
Wickenburg Leadership Academy encourages citizen participation by supporting the development of new leaders representative of our population today and into the future.
Wickenburg Leadership Academy offers citizens a community based education program where citizens can:
- Learn about town services. Understand the responsibilities of Town Council, Boards and Commissions.
- Gain an awareness of town and community needs and resources.
- Prepare for opportunities to serve on Boards, Commissions, Town Council and Committees.
- Build new relationships.
- Discover volunteer opportunities.
- Limited to 20 accepted applicants.
The curriculum will be informative and interactive, offering participants the opportunity to learn the complex workings of town government and not-for-profit organizations.
