STREET MAINTENANCE

The Public Works Department is responsible for the care and maintenance of approximately 45 miles of streets plus alleyways within the Town limits.  These duties include sweeping, grading, storm clean up, repair of potholes and cracks, repaving street light repair and more.

Storm Damage Information

Remember seasonal monsoon storms pack high winds and heavy rains.  These storms frequently cause flash flooding, tree damage and power line damage.  Take every precaution during these seasonal storms.

DO NOT CROSS A FLOODED WASH!  Water may be deeper than you think and it rises rapidly.  This situation can be very dangerous.  Remember, if a wash is barricaded, it is illegal to proceed into the area.

High wings can crate poor visibility due to the dust.  Use extreme caution when driving in these conditions.  If you must pull off the road, remember to turn off your lights so that cars behind you do not try to follow, causing a rear-end collision.

To report flooded roads or downed trees and power lines, call the Public Works Department at 928-684-2761 or the Wickenburg Police Department at 928-684-5411 if it is after hours.

Street Light Repair

If one of the streetlights is out within the Town of Wickenburg power grid (you pay your electric to the Town of Wickenburg), contact the Public Works Department for repair at 928-684-2761.  If you are in the APS power grid (you pay your electric bill to APS), contact APS at 800-253-9405 for repair.
