Recall Election on May 21st

The Mayoral Recall Election will take place on May 21st. There will only be the one item on your ballot.

All registered voters in the Town of Wickenburg will receive their ballot in the mail from Maricopa County. Your ballot will be mailed to you on April 24th. Your ballot will say official ballot on the top and include an envelope that you have to sign for signature verification when you mail it back to Maricopa County. If you want to drop off your ballot instead of mailing it, there will be a drop box at Town Hall starting April 29th.

To speed up the verification of your ballot and thus the election results, it is recommended that you return your ballot at least a week prior to the actual election day of May 21st.

If you make a mistake on your ballot and need a replacement ballot, ballot replacements will be at the Community Center May 13th – 17th from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm and May 20th from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.

In person ballot replacement will also be available on May 21st from 6:00 am until 7:00 pm at the Wickenburg Community Center.

The Town of Wickenburg will have two candidates for the Mayor’s seat. The candidates are Rui Pereira and Everett Sickles.

If you need to register to vote, you have to register by April 22nd in order to vote in this recall election. You can register to vote at several websites, the Clean Elections site at, Arizona Department of Transportation site at, Maricopa County at and Yavapai County at Voter registration forms are also available at Town Hall.
